Mealz is our recipe for fulfilling our entrepreneurial ambition to eat well every day. We had 3 objectives: to save time, find meal ideas and make food shopping a pleasure! With Mealz, we have reinvented online shopping. Today, we make life easier for everyday cooks. We have the technology, we have the ideas, we have the talent. Tomorrow, it's up to us to develop Mealz and reinvent other online shopping moments.

Our history and our vision

Mealz was created in 2019 by Alexis Tonnoir, César Tonnoir and Thomas Potel. But the story began at the end of 2018, over a good meal, when the 3 of them were thinking about how to do business together.

They like to eat well, but don't like shopping. They're drive-through enthusiasts, but they're not enchanted by the experience of e-commerce sites. Not to mention the fact that they lack ideas for healthy, varied meals without spending hours cooking.

As engineers, they have the idea of designing a tech solution to make online shopping more inspiring and easier. To put it simply, one click should be all it takes to put your shopping list in your basket. They also imagined that an algorithm could learn from consumers' orders to suggest increasingly personalized meal ideas.

This is how what will become Mealz was born!

After 3 years in business, they're looking even further ahead. They have the crazy idea of eliminating the need for food shopping in the future!

They are convinced that an algorithm could answer the question "What's for dinner?" for each consumer, based on his or her culinary habits and tastes, and push into the shopping basket all the products needed to make meals. The horizon isn't so far off, and the idea isn't so crazy in view of current advances in self-learning AI from Mealz.

And why stop there? Sports, DIY or gardening could offer other contextualized shopping experiences!

Following the example of the "Back-to-school list" feature to be released in September 2022, Mealz will set about creating new experiences to continue reinventing consumers' shopping highlights.
